"What was the threat to us?

I posted prior to the invasion that I didn't believe he was an immediate threat to us, even if he had WMDs. I figured like almost everyone else that he was not being honest about the WMD stuff but even if he did have them, he could not weild them against us.

The threat to us, was that he would bide his time until the sanctions deteriorated to something inconsequential and then he would begin development of a superpower force, which he had already threatened to do and which he would have the opportunity and resources to do given time. At which time our opportunity to stop him may have passed.

These were not my reasons for supporting his removal however. I have posted at length prior to and since 2003 in detail about it.
