Hmmm, I must be missing something. The HK Dollar is PEGGED to the US dollar, which means it can't move higher or lower against it. I checked it over the weekend, and it has not moved appreciably since 1991, remaining at 7.73/dollar. On the other hand, the Thai baht and Indonesian rupiah have lost 55 percent compared to the dollar since the first of the year.
