Who is the real Jew? Psalm 22:3 comes to mind, "But thou art holy, O thou that inhabitest the praises of Israel."
Jesus said that whoever does the will of the Father is his brother, sister and mother.
The will of the Father is to fulfill the greatest commandment, "Thou shalt love the Lord thy God with all thy heart, and with all thy soul, and with all thy mind... and the second is like unto it, Thou shalt love thy neighbor as thyself." He said if we can fulfill those, that wraps it all up.
So, whoever loves God and fellow man as Jesus showed us is doing the will of the Father, therefore is Jesus' brother, etc, therefore is a Jew, since Jesus is Jewish.
We can only fulfill the first and second commandment, if we get that power from God, since we don't have it in ourselves. The way we get that power is through the Holy Spirit which Jesus gives us.
Another thought on being Jewish goes back to Ps 22:3. If we speak about God, speaking the truth, will will always be saying praises about him, because everything about him is praiseworthy. So, when we speak truthfully about God (as contrasted with saying something untruthful, such as denying his existance) he inhabits our praises and we receive blessing and the pleasant influence of his power, thereby having more ability to praise him,... if possible, becoming more and more Jewish the more we speak of Him.
His presence rubs off on us.
