Sure. But given the topic under discussion was something that happened in the past, in other words Intel's actions during the period covered by the investigation, that would mean you were dragging in extraneous stuff. Presumably to cloud the issue.

Yep. Again, you were trying to cloud the issue.

Not really. In these two situations you were trying to distract the discussion with extraneous information. And you are still wiggling over it. You deliberately introduced this into a conversation about events in the past. There are limited reasons for that to be the case.

a) You were confused over what was being discussed.
b) You were trying to derail the discussion.
c) You were trying to conflate things.

If you have any others, please chime in. Why did you bring it up when it was a totally different subject?
