GR, unlike most grains, Quinoa has a low glycemic index (will not over stimulate one's insulin response) and would be fine to include into an anti-inflammatory diet. i'll have to try some.

the typical high carb, low fat diet recommendation drives both hunger and inflammation and will reduce wellness and lead to increased chronic disease.

i ate about 55g of fat a day, including supplementing with straight EVOO, while i effortlessly lost 25 lbs of pure fat in 6 months - i went from 178.5 lbs to 155.5 lbs. during this time increased my bench press from about 135 x 1 to 175 x 1. I topped out at 195 lbs x 1 before i reaggravated an old shoulder injury. i'm slowly working my way back up now.

in short, i was adding muscle and strength while simultaneously losing ~1 lb of fat per week.

i was basically never hungry, my energy was the best it had ever been inmy life, my life long allergy problem disappeared, my cold symptoms were reduced by 90%...

most folks have no idea how powerful an anti-inflammatory really is. the nurse who recommended this diet to me 14 years ago was able to stop taking 15+ aspirin a day to reduce her pain - her anti-inflammatory diet reduced her pain - and gave her a myriad of other positive side effects.
