Palin's selection has caused her nothing but problems and based on Hillary's experience in the primary, I think it will be a long time before the US has a female president.

No, I disagree on both counts. The first serious minority/female candidates for anything always get arrows in their backs. But they 'normalize' it for the next candidates.

Palin's selection made her a political star. Ask yourself, did the Left go into such a screeching fury against her because she was a flop? Just the opposite.

Hillary's problems as a candidate were self-inflicted. Nearly all were due to over-confidence and ineptitude; very few were due to her sex. As it was, she could have pulled it out if only the Dems didn't have such a wacky primary system.
