Yes, but you probably were not the type of kid who would have smoked in the first place. I think the best method is to show kids the impact that years of smoking has on the human body. Nothing more effective than the woman from CA who speaks thru a hole in her throat and who then proceeds to smoke through that hole as well. Had I been smoking when I first so that commercial I would have quit within the hour.

There was an article in Men's Health about a former exec in the tobacco industry who was in charge of trying to market the product. He was supposed to go out and find out why people love smoking so much. Well to make a long story short, everyone he talked to said the same thing. They HATE it. It wasn't too long afterwards that he quit his job and began a program to quit smoking himself.

A message like that would resonate much more than cold medical info.
