Exactky, I shorted the 87 market myself. Many saw it. It was an easy one to see. I have an interesting story. I shorted Honda or Toyota? $60's? which were $1 each and made a quick 10 bagger; BUT I could have bought the $40"s? (can't remember exactly)for an 1/8, and they also went to $10. I made $10,000, but would have made $80,000. And I needed it then-lol. The panic was like nothing I have ever seen since.
