In the middle of the 18th century, China had a 36% share of the world economy and India had 28%, and the largest share among European great powers was Russia with 5%.

The great power of the 16th Century was Holland. Where is Holland today?

That show that a country can go from minnow to superpower, and back to minnow. It is a fact of life!

US share of the world economy, in 1945 reached 40%. In 1960 had dropped to 35%, in 1985 was 28%, in 2003 was about 22%. Today it is said to be below 20%. Note that although a half of it was in 1950, the US forgot to shrink the power projection and still has world power apparatus.

My take is US share of the world economy will go down to 15% and will keep that share.
