Yes, I looked at a couple of the MovieTone News clips. I remember they were a regular part of going to the movies (or "the show" as we called it), along with a cartoon (we called it "the comedy" for some reason). The only MovieTone news story I remember seeing was about the death of one of the five Dionne quintuplets in 1954. Don't know why that one has stuck with me.
