I'm not picking and choosing. Take one of Ehrman's "contradictions" - it involves when the cleansing of the temple occurred. John makes it sound as if it occurred much earlier in Jesus's ministry than Mark and the Synoptics do but there's good reason to believe John isn't written in chronological order. If not, there is no contradiction.

If these are not true, according to your religion, why are they in the bible?


They're not in the Bible.

For example, the second century work of Egyptian Gnostics, "The Gospel of Judas", which Ehrman has written a now discredited book on has no historical value except as a record of Gnostic belief (and Ehrman used a shoddy translation and so got even that wrong).

That isn't the case of Gospels and epistles in the NT which were written within decades of the events in question based on eyewitness testimony.
