as terrible as obama is, i think the problem goes much deeper than just him..

That's pretty clear. The people of the united states elected Obama. Most still approved of the job he is doing.

He is promising something for nothing. MulhollandDrive posted something about his promises behing akin to a skittle shitting unicorn. The underlying problem is that our population is lazy and doesn't want to take responsibility for its situation.

And unfortunately, as things become worse and worse, nobody is going to say "hmm, maybe this whole having the government take care of everything isn't working, maybe we should start cutting government programs"....they will say "hmmm, things aren't getting better, we obviously need more government to solve these problems".

We are on the slippery slope to socialism and the slope is getting steeper and more slippery.
