I sure hope she isn't right...but then again, she and that generation did live through it. The principal sign she cites is that too many people are expecting something for nothing. I believe that is true, and Obama is feeding on that. I know somebody who is the ultimate in self-reliance, far more than what I'd ever be capable of, and he likes Obama. I don't think he has heard the whole story and is relying on the public persona and declarations of Obama. I am experimenting with going back to basics a little. Got a sourdough starter from my friend and making bread and hotcakes for pennies rather than dollars.
