The way it has been presented is very much like torture et al is portrayed on '24' based on what others have said. It really doesn't matter when taken in context - that is, that the "torture" (not my term) was performed on the terrorist who dreamed up 9/11 and that it saved hundreds, thousands, or perhaps many more American lives. While the extreme Left is never going to say it is okay, most Americans -- seeing this interrogation in context -- are going to support it. It has nothing at all to do with the TV series "24" which has no basis in fact (and no episode to date has involved waterboarding).
