It looks like some companies which were considering taking government money don't like the strings that appear to be attached, like the destruction of management in a White House orchestrated shakedown.

Now President Obama just needs to figure out a way to force them to take the money.


Don't give him ideas. Seriously, did he think clubbing the TARP-recipient Chrysler bondholders to give up their contractual rights would have no after-effects? I think perhaps he did.

As I have said here more than once, when I see amateur hour, I call it like I see it.

Obama thought that because he was President, he could run roughshod over contract law when it got in his way. He is naive about the powers of the Presidency. He's about to learn the hard way. We'll see how he reacts.
