Huntsman was no threat to Obama. His chances as a presidential candidate were wrecked recently when he was rejected as a speaker at a Michigan GOP county fundraiser. Republicans are leaning hard to the right, and moderates like Huntsman are laying low, or jumping ship like Specter.
