By implication, the "noble stand" is taking down a dictator.

Taking a stand against Saddam was a noble and good thing to do.

"While that statement may have seemed all honorable and impressive when you typed it, its implications are significant and extensive."

Whatever implications you imagine are entirely your own.

"There are at least 10 Saddams in the world at the present time."

There is probably a bad guy per city block in the city where you live, so what?

"Taking them out by military force is costly in terms of lives and money. You, yourself, have admitted we don't have the resources to deal with all the dictators in the world."

Military force is not the solution to every problem in the world and I've never suggested it is. That's all you going wacko extreme, as always.

In fact, we didn't have the resources to deal even with Saddam.

Really? Where's Saddam now? Where is the powerful regime that was so feared it got 100% approval from the Iraqis that now speak freely about how oppressed and brutalized they were under Saddam? Looks to me like they got dealt with.
