I heard some analyst today say that the current slide in
Far East markets will slow demand for PC's. As I see it,
that will further cut into PC makers profit margins because
of the excess inventories that will accumulate. That in turn
will further cut into disk drive maker's margins. Ampex has
proven that KM can substantially increase capacity and performance
at a very low cost. Maybe I'm just missing something here,but
the recent events is S E Asia, coupled with the fact that disk
drive related stocks have been taking a beating, would make KM
a viable solution. I'm optimistic about a contract before the year's
out.
