I didn't say a black hole is nothing. I said understanding the concept of singularity is essential to understanding the phenomenon of black holes.

Singularity is a condition that can only be explained by lack of distinction between any thing that once was a distinct thing in time and space and now has become undistinguishable, undefinable, unintelligable in anyway except to say it once existed and not it cannot be detected. Only the singularity of all substance can be known.

Even the singularity of stuff does not have a distinct place in time and space because that is a comparative term, like it is over here not over there, its this way right now but was different then. When singularity exists there is no way to describe it, there is no thing descriptive. Singularity is the term used for this no thing condition. No thing is nothing.

Singularity, as I said, is the only term scientist have for labeling the state where no-thing can be observed and distinguished to exist.

Check it out for yourself. That's why they say large quatities of space and matter, even light just disappear into black holes and no one can explain what happened to them... except that they achieved what we call singularity.

Inner space is similar where Quantum physicists describe subparticles that pop into and out of existence.
