If you have read the intro for this thread, you know that Jorj X McKie is the main character in a book called "Dosadi Experiment". JXM is an agent in the Bureau of Sabotage. JXM is put on the planet Dosadi to subvert a threat to the sentient world. The inhabitants of Dosadi have been subjected to extreme survival of the fittest circumstances for many generations. And they have the potential to take over the existing power structure if let loose on the universe.
To succeed, JXM becomes more Dosadi than the native Dosadi.

so why did I bring this up?

I believe that the muslims that pretty much want to take over the world know how to adapt to our system in a way that allows them to insert themselves in our society at the same time keeping their core values. In war, they use our values against us. The best example being the uproar about the abuses of prisoners, including waterboarding and those that happened at abu gharib. But who would you want to be?
An american prisoner of al qaida?
or
A muslim prisoner in guantanamo bay?

I'd actually prefer to go through waterboarding rather than having my head hacked off with a big knife.

To win the war against the muslim extremists, we are going to need to become MORE extreme, while still holding on to our core values.

Right now, to me it looks like the attack on 9/11 was hugely successful. The world has adopted an approach to the muslim world as if they were the victim and that the big bad U.S. was the aggressor.

We have to stop worrying about what the rest of the world thinks about us. We have to stop worrying about being perceived as the good guys.
