Some people have paid off their credit card bill each month to avoid interest charges. The rumor circulating the internet is that many financial institutions will apply the interest charge from the minute you make the charge. IOW, you will not be able to use your card without incurring an interest charge assuming you buy something that month. The law of unintended consequences if this is true.
