My bear story or my brother's bear story---

Beautiful bright sunny day, a little like today here, ----on 9/11/2001 just after the Pentagon was hit, my daughter called instantly to ask if I was okay-----and to say she was okay, as she works in D.C. ----both of us lived about 10 to 15 minutes from the Pentagon.

Realized I should call my shartshooter brother in Arkansas to let him know that the whole area wasn't being hit in D.C. area---well I called he had not heard the news----and says "Sis I gotta go, we've got a bear out here."

I called back later-----their home had been being frequent by a bear of some variety, rather than shoot the bear as he would have done he decided to be legal.

The Forest Ranger said "the minute you see that bear call me and we will come and get him and carry it back into the mountains----I can be there in 5 minutes."

The bear appeared just as 9/11 occurred---(indepedent events of course).

Brother called the Forest Ranger who comes with a wagon vehicle---shoots the bear with a tranquilizer of some sort---the bear collapses. Forest ranger says "oh yeah, we got him now lets load him in the wagon/truck."

Just as my brother bends down to begin moving the bear with the ranger, the bear opens its eyes and begins to stir lethargically. So rapidly he backed off as did the ranger.

The bear, still partially tranquilized, lumbered up and meandered slowly, obviously dazed, down the hill and off of the property.

The bear never returned to the property----

Now how did these bear stories start today-----?
