How can simply describing REALITY be "false"??????

False dilemma is a rather specific term. It means suggesting (usually) 2 alternatives as the only possible ones when in fact there are/where more than two.

That perfectly describes your statements about the Chrysler bankruptcy.

You are correct. There is only ONE choice.

Wrong. Their are millions, maybe even billions or trillions or more if you consider every tiny possible difference to be a different choice.

Only considering differences of some significance their are at least several, and perhaps hundreds.

The one choice is between the formal plan of reorganization presented to the court

Preparing and presenting a specific plan is itself a choice. Different choices could have been presented, and still could be. Those opposing the government apparently don't bother realizing the government controls the situation, but the government itself could decided tomorrow do do things completely differently.
