Here is the way the media should be forced to grade a speech:

They must be able to answer questions about the speaker's points.

For example:

1. How did Obama propose that we try Gitmo prisoners, and how were his proposals different from those of the Bush Administration?

2. How were his current proposals different from what he criticized on the campaign trail?

3. Why was it okay to release the so-called torture memos and not the documents discussing the information gleaned from EITs?

4. If merely acknowledging use of waterboarding and incarceration at Gitmo "created terrorists", why did he release the so-called torture memos? Wouldn't that endanger our troops and embolden the enemy? How did he square this?

5. What does Obama's father have to do with any of this?[that one was tongue in cheek.]
