Nuclear power plant projects are just about all over budget and way behind schedule. Critical parts such as containment vessels are in short supply. It would cost a fortune to build hundreds of nuclear power plants, and the problem of what to do with the waste remains to be solved. I'm not completely opposed to nuclear power. In fact, I think it's a pretty good idea. But it is not the panacea some make it out to be. On balance, I think it makes more sense to concentrate on wind and solar as energy sources. - Allen
