There you have it. We are a fiscally irresponsible, profligate, overly entitled, under educated country. Our leaders spend more time bickering than solving problems and usually avoid tackling the biggest of problems. We have such a guilt complex that we spend hundreds of billions giving money away to other countries, which we have to borrow since we're insolvent, instead of using that money to solve our own problems.

So you wonder why our safety nets are smaller and yet more expensive? Oh yes, it's all about mismanagement of our country and our economy.
