5/22/09 update
Although not overly aggressive, the Bulls definitely didn't cede the field to the Bears this week, with the Nasdaq Composite Index closing Friday up 7.66% CYTD, or Contest Year To Date, (vs. up 6.91% CYTD a week ago). The Nasdaq Biotech Index also improved slightly, closing the week down -5.58% CYTD (vs. down -5.85% CYTD a week ago), while the friskier Contest median did even better, closing down a mere -.11% CYTD (vs. down -4.45% CYTD a week ago).
Riding the back of OGXI, RKRW's portfolio surged into the lead with the portfolios of GENE & GEORGIA finishing in the place and show spots (and is No. 4 really BULBA beginning to make a move?). Friday's closing CYTD percentages are: RKRW up an amazing 74.06%, GENE up 60.98% and GEORGIA up 50.47%.
At Friday's close, 16 of the 32 Contest portfolios are in the black and 17 of the 32 are beating the NBI.
Have a terrific Memorial Day weekend biotechies!
