They were a tad too fanciful for my liking. I think the writer was a stoned liberal.......the singer too. GGG

As for hearing songs!

I don't think most people take the time to really listen to words for a lot of different reasons. Above everything, I hear the percussion instruments when I listen to music. I guess to capture the beat? Then I hear the sound of the instruments and voices blending to make beautiful music. If I'm really interested or the singer has a speech impediment or slurs the words, I sometimes have to rewind to catch a phrase here or there, but regardless of that, sometimes you don't need any lyrics:

sometimes you do:

When a song contains lyrics I expect to hear a symbiotic blending of instruments (including the human voice) and good poetry, but that's me.

When they don't........I want to either be lulled or dance.

;)
