aj, i have heard similar. i don't know what it is legally, but they need to do it.

our government was bribed into giving bubble style compensation packages and setting up bubble era programs that are not sustainable.

period.

if they drive up taxes, businesses will flip the bird and leave the state, driving revenue even lower.

these idiots made the bed but whine and cry whenever they have to sleep in their own bed.

they are scam artists. they blow $10s of billions on slop like 90% pensions of the maximum amount a government class employee has ever made and on creating incentives for people to illegally cross our borders, but they only talk about cutting fire and police.

fire and police get the first dollars and are the last dollars cut. they just claim this to scare people into forking over their pay check.

the people have had it.

tax revolts are gearing up and they will only get more aggressive.

they make plenty - i make about 25%-30% more than i did in 1998 - and i'm a lucky one.

the state makes 70% more and they want to take from people making less than in 1998 to fund more increases.

and no - a cut is not a reduction in a scheduled increase. the people see through the lies and have finally figured out that the government class has declared war on the private class.

LA unified teachers were going to go on strike. they might just get others to protest against them on their picket line.

the people of CA are angry at the fascists in power (run by corporate unions and special interests) and the turn coats like gray davis with muscles and the phony replicrat party that desperately wanted to raise taxes *after* signing a no new tax pledge.

their word is worthless, but what can one expect from narcissistic sociopaths.
