Think of what is best for the kids. It is impossible to have an exact model. We have no idea what the future holds. It is an existential future, so----
The best thing we can do going forward, is elect our very best minds who exhibit compassion, to figure out the very complex world we find ourselvs in.
E.g., No one even talks about the growing acid ocean but it is going to be a HUGE problem for the kids. Global Warming (GW). energy needs, pollution. Guys like Inhoff cannot even understand the concept of evolution, let alone comprehend GW and construct an answer!
In an existential nuclear world, polluted, and countries without functioning social structures (failed countries) the compassionate philosopher kings and queens are our only hope.
Those people will sculpt the best possible future for us and we may or may not make it as a species. Forget about sterotypes like Europe. They are no better or worse than we. Forget about ideology except compassion, facts and logic.
We have immediate problems which endanger our children's future which the Republicans are clueless about.
We need to be warriors about this, for our childrens sake. And I am only talking about listening to our best empathetic thinker leaders.
We need to embrace the academic community and make sure our leaders are listening to them.
The best we can do is go with them.
Very few people like that in the Republican party.
Ironically, that is what the Republicans are searching for, (thinker leaders) but cannot find them. They cannot find them because are not there.
The Republican party is riddled with De Lays, Becks and Palins. None of those folks can be trusted to solve anthing well. |
