Vi, The website is very interesting but, while it recognizes the debt as that held in Gov. accounts as well as that held by the public, it appears to present the interest on the debt as that paid on the debt held by the public only - about 101 billion today. The total interest paid through April was 193.6 billion - see the Monthly Treasury Statement. Larry
