Global lead market in surplus The global lead market was in surplus by 33,000 tonnes in the first three months of 2009, the Lisbon-based International Lead and Zinc Study Group's (ILZSG) latest monthly bulletin shows. Global refined lead use was 2.007 million tonnes compared with 2.025 million a year earlier. World refined lead output was 2.040 million tonnes, down from 2.024 million in the same period last year. – Business Line
