This has caused many advocates of religious expression to fear this legislation, drawing on examples of hate crimes laws in Britain and Canada where pastors and other persons of faith have been arrested for religious speech in public places. Fits in with my opinion: Message 25659627 I'm convinced the whole gay marriage movement is a front to put religious institutions out of business. Only conspiracy theory I subscribe to. Its why civil unions aren't good enough for 'em. Add in the element that most liberal judicial thinkers think we should adopt foreign laws .... like those in Britain, Canada and elsewhere where freedom of speech isn't as protected as under the US Constitution.
