I am going to ask. They are not the caturra type I eat, which when I try to fry kind like melt. Those -in the photo- are fried and keep the shape.

Cavendish is the name in English. Banana-nanica (d'água or caturra) is how we call them. They come from the Parana coast,just some 70Km from Curitiba, downhill, they are at almost sea level, and are sent up hill to Cutitiba which is 935m above sea level. Thus they are cheap.

I like to fry them, (put a little sugar to getm a little caramel) after fried, mix with ice cream and put Baileys on top.
