i go about every three years and only because i loose a filling or break a tooth... dentist says to assistant his teeth are fine,, never plaque buidup...

so a few months back my mouth blows up. i find i have the filling in a root canal from 1965 broken, actually split in half inside my tooth. The dentist tells , oh my , that is why they do not use this stuff any longer! Seems they switched to a different filling in late 70's. Tg i was sent to specialist who cut the gum and got the piece out and back filled the tooth and closed it up again. Costly, but not even close to what it would have cost if they had to redo the canal job or replace the tooth.

It is amazing what they can do with the equipment they have today.

He was a graduate of Tuffs and teachs at un of penn. The best part was he lived behind Fenway park on the same street as my wife used to live while in Boston. It used to a zoo on weekends esp if red sox in town. Those apartments are full of all the local college kids. Trying to pick her up on Friday night and no cell phones back then to say i am outside waiting.. vs double and triple park and run it and get her.

A friend of ours goes over to Tuffs to get her dental work done. She got three implants done this year. and i believe last year two caps. She told me it was about a third of the cost of local dentist and only students about to graduate do the type of work she was having done.
