No doubt there are many deserving recipients of welfare. I have witnessed enough personally and have friends and family who work in retail environments. Hauling out food stamp paid for goods along with alcohol and cigarettes into a fancy SUV tends to grate on tax payers. People feel entitled to luxuries while on the dole and this is not a productive use of tax dollars. The people paying taxes generally are not the ones using the services which are causing the financial conflict in the country and California.
