Ford was politically very wise. Pardoning Nixon was an act of statesmanship.

Edwards is a sleaze.

Do you ascribe any blame to him at all for the way he mishandled his campaign?

Of course, picking Palin with only a cursory vetting was beyond stupid. But he is not dumb, and he paid for it. He believes that his knee jerk reactions are inspired.
