Start early on the donation process.

Sometimes it is hard to give things away. Two Universities wanted my husband's research papers -----but never followed through. I wasted a lot of time and energy with them. So the papers are catalogued and remain in boxes.

They aren't the kind of papers to be sold on ebay-----they belong in an International Studies Department or Political Science.

Have also attempted to pass the trunk to younger generations in family. No takers.
