Sonny--- HK down 1622 or 15.5% at 11:40. The worst may be yet to come. I hope no one gets the dreaded call from the broker as those calls are going to have a great impact on prices the next couple of days. I agree the fund managers caused the panic as they saved their bonus for the year and are sitting on cash these last few days. They will be able to start the recovery at their pleasure. Looking for 98 (election year) to do great! Most years ending in 8 do well -- 98 may set a new record if 97 drops the dow to the low 6K during the 4th qtr. Those that remember '87 walk through the valley of a crash with no fear as they know the recovery will be more rewarding than otherwise possible. Especially with all fundamentals of the economy on firm ground. The sad part is making traders into investors--- no adventure, just profits! John
