The honest thing to say would be "Screw them- they're different and they shouldn't have the same rights."

That's what the younger generation of voters won't tolerate in the future; it's just not part of their psyche.

The only good thing from the court decision is that when Prop 8 is knocked down in a referendum eventually, there won't be any legal recourse to challenge the outcome.

Just a matter of time. If the principle of gay marriage was constitutionally offensive, they would have undone those 18K marriages. Something can't be legal and illegal at the same time, not for long.
