It's time to stand for principles and that includes appropriate challenges to appointees, even if their approval is a foregone conclusion due to the numbers. My guess is that the party will attract more followers if it maintains principles. Yes, agreed. The Republicans have to remember how to be in the minority. That's precisely the time to hone your ideology and advocate it clearly, without doing the fudging and compromise that ruling coalitions in the majority must do. There is a clear battle of ideas underway. Republicans can win it but only if they fight!
