Ibexx, It doesn't really matter if I work for Macdonald's hamburgers, Cyrx or Digital. I am a trader & like to squeeze profits out of other traders. Sure I get hit now & then but that is calculated. As a trader I am not biased & will buy & sell DEC shares the same way I handle other shares. I still, think Intel at $81 is over valued & will come down. Ofcourse I am quite wrong at time!!
As about Alpha servers, its a 64 bit machine & DEC has the lead in this technology. Intel does not have a 64bit cpu. Intels 32bit pentium PC's are for you & me & DEC 64 bit Alpha servers are for big corporates. Ofcourse I would love to have one. So there is nothing to be bias about as DEC still has the absolute lead in this technology, & Intel is not competing in that market sector. But,I love DEC because, I not only work for DEC, I was educated with their PDP's and obtained my degree using these excellent mini's. No one knew of Intel then. Later I earned my & my familes living programming & using these DEC machines, every one wanted them. For your information also: NT kernal, memory management and segment/page handing is designed by the same guy who designed DEC VMS system, therefore they are so alike. If NT can boost Intel sales, thank the exDEC excellent development engineers.
