Some of us still work for a living and can't live on the boards like you guys.
I'm thrilled that the Governor was freed from the overhanging problem of the RNC's foolish decision on her wardrobe. There is also this nice nugget...
Palin ends hiring freeze Alaska's winter is over (with no help from Aslan this time), and Sarah Palin's lifting the 4 month old hiring freeze she'd mandated to save the state money.
As for the future, oil prophecies better things:
The state's budget woes aren't as bad as they were when Palin announced the hiring freeze in her State of the State speech Jan. 21. The price of Alaska North Slope crude oil has rebounded by a third since then, bringing money into the state treasury through taxes and royalties.
However, neither the cloths story or the better state of the Alaska economy does a bit to make Sarah a legitimate Presidential candidate. She is the democrat's dream girl. Even republican voters agree she cannot win...and should not try. Stay in Alaska, Sarah...please. _____________________________________
More Republicans like Palin, but fewer would vote for her Public Policy Polling puts last week's poll on 2012 in a discouraging nutshell for Sarah Palin fans.
Among respondents Republicans who didn't approve of Obama's job performance, 75% of them liked Sarah Palin, 67% liked Mike Huckabee, 62% liked Mitt Romney, and 54%, Newt Gingrich.
So the good news is she's the most likable.
But here's the caveat:
.... when it comes to the percentage of the vote each of those folks got against the President among his detractors Palin came in worst at 68% with Huckabee at 81%, Gingrich at 75%, and Romney at 70% all doing better. It's just another example of one of Palin's core problems looking toward 2012- even among people who like her there's no overwhelming sense that she should be President.
