You should be getting letters from SS telling you what your estimated benefits are Ted. It's not my retirement plan, but every little bit helps. It will warm my heart knowing that Ten is paying my benefits! When do they start sending letters? How old do you have to be? Pittance or no, a lot of old people LIVE on it. A lot of low end nursing homes stay in business and take care of old people on it. but, we don't want to look at or think about THOSE places! Right Ten? Its scary how we treat people in this country. And the wingers think we are so great. Tonite I learned that we have troops not only in S. Korea but in Japan as well. 25k in S.Korea; 35k in Japan. Its no wonder SS is only a pittance. We can't afford squat thanks to our global military.
