That's a rather ignorant statement for Fitzsimmons to make. Hydrogen is not an energy source to be mined or extracted, it has to be made, and that takes another energy source to accomplish. Sure, it's clean, but it's a carrier of energy, not a source.

Fine, for a commuter car, but a diesel VW or Mercedes gets a 600 or 700 mile driving range. And I'll bet that that Honda doesn't have much truck space left with a big compressed NG fuel tank..
NG, along with pure electrics, can make sense in commuter vehicles, but NG needs to be converted to liquid in order for it to replace conventional liquid fuels.. |
