The norm in today's political and economic discussions is now: Data Point - Leap Straight to Exaggerated Conclusion Based on No Other Systemic Evidence Whatsoever - Then Scream and Shout About It !!!!!!!!!!!!!! Then there are bonus points for making wild predictions with no legal or political foundation. It's an inane waste of time and breath in most cases.
