If they pay taxes at the lower local rate then they are like all other companies operating in that country. To make them pay more reduces their competitiveness in that country, which may cause them to lose or sell the business to non-American companies which is hardly a gain for America.

.lol Sure at reduced tax rates... That sucks...

No its a good thing in several ways.

1 - It keeps American companies competitive.

2 - It keeps marginally more economic decision making/power in the hands of the private sector and marginally less in the hands of the government.

3 - It creates competitive pressures for governments to try and keep tax rates lower.
