Well, they got the acquisitions guy from IBM, and Big Blue is suing as they did with Papermaster, who went to AAPL. Earnings on tap after the close..

Dell Could Hit Acquisitions Trail

PC vendor's move to hire IBM's former acquisitions honcho could signal spending spree.

BURLINGAME, Calif. -- Struggling PC vendor Dell has snatched IBM's top acquisitions deal maker. Dell confirmed Wednesday that it has offered a job to David L. Johnson, vice president of corporate development at IBM.

IBM ( IBM - news - people ) filed suit against Johnson in the U.S. District Court for Southern New York on May 21 asserting that Johnson violated a non-compete agreement. Johnson, a 27-year IBM veteran, has spent nearly a decade overseeing deals at the acquisitive Armonk, N.Y., industry giant.
