Defense spending has become a scam.....in many ways, much worse than pork spending.

I don't suppose it has occurred to you that all that defense spending is what enables us to fight wars with minimal loss of life, both lives of our soldiers and civilians?

It never occurred to you, did it, that in WWII, the Pacific war was fought island by island -- with 12,000 Americans killed on Okinawa alone (and 40,000 Okinawan civilians plus 75,000 Japanese soldiers) in two months?

My son rode around in Iraq for a year looking for IEDs in a vehicle loaded with expensive technology such that IEDs were found and disposed of rather than killing the soldiers who were looking for them -- or civilians either. For me, there is no higher priority. Ever.

From you on the left it is the same old shit. You bitch about HUMVEEs not having armor, but then you don't want to spend the money to armor them.
