Not Dems and Republicans, liberals and conservatives.

Jefferson, Franklin, Adams and Lincoln were all liberals as were those who advocatd for the womens right to vote, stop segregation and stop gay bashing.

The conservatives were against the womens right to vote, and fought real hard to keep segregation.

It was the liberals joining hands with the black community that ended that barbaric practise of segregation.
